Tips to Prepare a Yummy Chocolate Delight

Things you need to make these heavenly chocolate chip cookies:-
- One and a half cup of all-purpose flour
- Half a cup of cornstarch
- One teaspoon of salt
- 2 sticks of butter
- Half a cup of granulated sugar
- One egg
- A teaspoon of vanilla essence or extract
- 3/4th cup of chocolates (Chop them into tiny pieces)
These ingredients will make up to 20 cookies approximately.
Instructions to prepare the shortbread chocolate cookies:-
- First and foremost, pre-heat the oven to 325 F.
- Use parchment paper to line two baking trays.
- Take a container and put flour and cornstarch with the salt and mix well. Keep this aside.
- In a mixer with paddle attachment, put the butter and mix on medium speed. Add sugar and beat until it becomes fluffy and smooth. After this, gradually add the egg and vanilla essence/extract. Keep mixing this on medium speed until it blends well. Pause to scrape down the sides of the bowl and continue.
- Now, add in the flour and cornstarch mixture slowly and put the mixer on low speed. Keep mixing until it becomes soft and in a dough form.
- Pull about 2 tablespoons of dough from the container and form a circular flat shape which is a little thick.
- After this, place a chocolate piece on top of the center or few chopped tiny pieces. Now pull all the sides of this circular dough and make it into a dome shape. Make sure you seal it well on the top. It resembles the shape of a Hershey’s Kiss Chocolate. If there is any side open, then your chocolate will come out of the cookie while baking, and it will get ruined. Be soft and gentle while handling the dough.
- Make about 10 to 20 cookies like this and set them on the baking sheets which we had lined with the parchment paper in the second step. Make sure you place the cookies an inch apart from each other so that they do not stick to one another.
- Bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes or until you see a golden-brown color on the top. Take them out of the oven and leave them to cool for some time. You can dust it with sugar if you want else you can do the dusting while serving.
- Once they have cooled off and settled down for about 10 minutes, place them in an airtight container and let them be at room temperature for a while.
